Solent Accident and Incident Report

It is a requirement of all water users to complete a report form for any indecent or potential incident that occurs within Southampton Statutory Harbour Authority area. If you're in doubt, submit a form.

A common reporting form has been developed for reporting maritime incidents to:

• ABP Southampton

• The King’s Harbour Master Portsmouth

• Portsmouth International Port

• Cowes Harbour Commissioners

• Langstone Harbour

Pilots and PEC Holders

Authorised Southampton Pilots, and Pilot Exemption Certificate Holders shall immediately report incidents, near-misses or potential incidents to Southampton VTS and subsequently report in writing on the Pilotage Incident Report form within 14 days of the occurrence:
